Shweta(My sister) |
I remember writing a poem (Read here) on her last birthday as a present , not to forget her favorite chocolate cup cake but what she did was something I would cleave to forever. It was around 12 and I was busy attending phone calls (One after the other). Everyone else was sleeping. I heard a steel sound in the kitchen but I did not care. Then came the surprise , "You don't want your cake ,Happy birthday " , she said. I was still on phone but just managed to get off it. She had made a fruit chat (putting anything and everything that was available ) , It had tomato ketchup sprinkled over it and a fork dug deep inside. I started eating it and then looked at her for once , "What happened , You don't like it? ",she asked. Warmth , Authority and Buzz , I could see everything in her eyes that day. I hugged her thereafter.
Without such subtle yet beautiful moments, Life would have lost it's charm.

ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have a kute and loving sister like her which I was deprived of in my younger days. Cherish every moment of it...
ReplyDeleteI have two brothers and I know how it feels like .
ReplyDeleteAfter reading this, I feel more close to them. Though they are not good in expressing emotions ,I know they are with me every now and then.
Your words have brought back lot of endearing memories between me and bro...i remember the joy i would get simply watching him sleep, feed him, just play with him and cry for hours when he and mamma would go, after coming to visit me at my grans....i would wait for the same whole thing to happen again....for them to come and spend at least a day or two and again we would cry and part....it went on on....oh the separation and the love we felt for each other when we met again...only wish i could write so beautifully like u .....your sister is blessed to have a loving endearing brother like you buddy!!!
